Day Tour: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Located on the eastern end of Tela Bay just 12 Km away from the city this national park gets its name from Izopo Hill, which is just above the ocean.
We start at 8:00 am, when our 4x4 vehicle takes us to the garifuna community of Triunfo de la Cruz, where our kayak tour will take place around Platano and Hicaque rivers, which house a great variety of animals, like tropical birds such as parrots, parakeets, toucans, howling monkeys, herons, pelicans, crab, turtles, jellyfish, butterflies and alligators. We will go inside the refuge as stealthily as possible, in order to prevent any discomfort for the animals so we can get as close as possible to them. We return to Tela at 3:00 p.m.
Level of difficulty: Our ecotrip depends on your physical fitness. Our rhythm will adapt to your circumstances.
Recommendations: Bring with you cool clothing for forest walking, preferably long pants and T-shirts, sun blocker, repellent, hat, hiking shoes or sneakers with good traction, camera or binoculars
A group of 6 people is required for this tour.
